We are living in times of great confusion and separation and a time whereas humans we have lost more now than ever our purpose in this world. This picture says it all. It shows a young child’s eyes just starring and with no purpose and lost. In front of the child is a spider’s web and Allah SWT names a whole surah named after the spider and many lessons to learn in relation to its web but a web that has been weaved over the whole of humanity which is an evil web taking the ability away for humanity to see and think correctly
The spider is focussed on the slightest touch, the slightest vibration from its prey as it lands, and this gives us deep lessons of the world in which we live today. A world based on sound and energy and frequency, but in Fact it’s simply a web of vibrations orchestrated by Shaytan to separate and control humanity away from the divine order
Shaytan is aware of the divine order and in Hearts SEE we aim through the principles to divert humanity away from the illusion to reality
The last point to see is the flimsy twigs in which the web of the spider is attached to and is a lesson in that although this satanic web of deceit and lies has surrounded all aspects of society the web and its attachments are but weak.
On one final point in each surah the subject matter is located generally in the centre and corresponds to social permaculture when we learn about zoning and zone 00. The spider here is also in the centre but it’s knowing the footsteps of Shaytan which will enable us to see the true centre from a false one
A tick box tree is where you see a one side of a trees branches more horizontal than verticle. This indicates the direction of the sun in which the branches and thus the leaves are stretching towards. This gives the look of a tick shape.
This is very useful in terms of navigation and helps as a muslim to work out the direction of qibla. However as part of a systems thinking approach its best to try and locate a few other trees to confirm the direction rather than one, although one is sufficient as its following divine law.
There are many lessons from the Quran and Sunnah that we can gain from the tick box tree but one for us is that Allah SWT says in the Quran to remain in good company, pious company and this company always projects positive energy and energy is vibration and vibration is light and light brings clarity and direction so good company is part of the straight path that we ask for in Surah Fathiha.
The relationship between humanity and trees in Islam is immense. Just about on every page of the Quran in every Surah there is some relation to trees and greenery. We should already be aware of the close connection we have with trees from our home in Jannah and if we look at the very word although referred to gardens it means canopy of interlocking branches of trees.
Sadly in the current world and clearly orchastrated and planned over many years we see a world divided and a human mind also divided and thus seperated from the natural world . Hugging a tree is all about retuning oneself, returing to ones fitra, ones inborn nature as the tree and the human are very similar, even if we just look at the brancing patten that we can see throughout the human body as well as throughout the tree.
This is such a deep question and one I want you all to keep coming back to. If one really wants to travel the path of tafakkur this picture and the very terms of compare, contract and what and seeing are crucial on the path of islamic contemplation. One essentail teaching of Hearts SEE is learning how to see and think in terms of the whole and not to focus on the part although the part is essential for the whole to be understood.
All I want to offer you all here is to explore and learn about the work of professor Iain McGhilchrist a neuro scientist who has carried out extensive research on the brain hemispheres and once you begin to read his books and view his work on youtube, to keep returning to this picture and begin to make more and more tafakkur. Then to explore taddabur which is different to tafakkur. What I will say however is the previous Heart SEE challenges so far are all interconnected with his one, so can you see the branching pattern
Today we are living in a crisis of perception in how we see and think of the world. Certainly we are not living in a world following divine order but of a world dominated by a linear, descarte view of the world which ignores cancels out the verticle connection with the divine and fcuses only on the dunay ie the horizontal plain which is seen everywhere sadsly now across the world.
The Quran repeatedly asks humanity why don’t you see and think and reflect and if we did just that we would begin to understand our very purpose of life on earth. We would see connections beyond our imagination, a world interconnected in every way. If we just looked at these photos they may to many appear separate and may be representing different regions of the world but are all interconnected through the principles of nature.
Likewise when we delve deep into the Quran we will also see interconnection in the same way. Throughout the Quran Allah SWT treis to enage with us to see and think in this way so we see this reality as any other way is an illusion
The crisis of perception that humanity is in is one that is connected deeply to a linear, descartes way of thinking, which isolates everything into parts and worse still things. The importance of relationships and interconnections is void.
In this picture the focal point is the shark and reduces the connection with all the other smaller fish, but even worse what is missing is the ocean ecosystem as a whole and the lesson we need to learn from the linguistic meaning of Tawheed is that everything is interconnected and this is thus a false artificial environment in which the fish are in and a illusion for the people to look at, as in the natural environment you would not have so many species so close to each other, but here they are all restricted.
Same way as we look at translations of the Quran, we cannot use that to fully understand as many times the English words do not explain the vast layers of the true meaning of the word/words in Arabic , so the vital subject of nahw and sarf is not taken into account thus disconnecting from the relationship perspective
Left brain hemisphere thinking looks at everything in terms of things and objects and puts everything into silos and sepetates everything neatly. This is now common place across all society from our education system to farming. Right brain hemisphere looks at everything in terms of connections through a holisitc perspective.
What we can see from this picture is called mono agriculture or mono farming where we are seeing fields and fields of crops planted in straight rows seperated which is un natural and would never see in the natural world.
Every human is made up of the four elements earth, wind, water and fire. Infact all of creation is made up of these elements, but it is the human who selgf governs his or her own elements to decide the levels. These levels should be in balance, what we call in arabic mizan and follow the order of the balance we see throughout creation.
The element of fire is a constant element that humans need to try and control as this refers to anger and worse and if we look at the world today we see everywhere anger, hate and violence across the world and what we are wintnessing is a rise in earthquakes, and flooding and this is the earth saying hat the fire element is causing asuch a in balance caused by man and is seen throughout man and is rising that creation revolts against it subservience to insaan
